I wonder if we didn't have the term VLE whether this would have ever existed? It looks to me like PLE was a response to VLE and PLN comes from that....NualaDhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07396568869179573219noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4696068461153645931.post-83590130979567053762013-04-10T10:32:12.923-07:002013-04-10T10:32:12.923-07:00Thanks, Nat. Our own daily activities bring us into contact with enough people that a learning network, like a network of close friends, can be sustained at a low level. What I'd like to see is a mechanism that would allow a learning network to grow bigger and stronger, and at a faster pace than normal social networks. Something like Twitter, perhaps, although I don't find the 140 character limit terribly conducive to learning support. Twitter's strength for networking is the hashtag that let's anyone 'broadcast' an interest in a given topic or search for tweets by others with like interests.Editorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03338553096858558639noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4696068461153645931.post-14322447253289646472013-04-10T09:21:23.875-07:002013-04-10T09:21:23.875-07:00Great post, I like your approach. You have friends and over time there are a small group that stay with you for ever, you may see them every day or just once in a while but the connection is strong. Then there are those that you dip in and out of and finally some do move on and disappear as you, or they, change. All the time you are making new ones and the whole process starts again.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13521026875051870431noreply@blogger.com
